TIPS FOR THE PREPARATION OF YOUR SANTORINI WEDDING

The hours before your Santorini wedding is a special part of your day. It should be a nice and relaxed time, not a stressful one. Too often as a wedding planner I have seen a stressed bride walking around because there are too many people around her who all want something different from her. This also applies to the groom, because both are very nervous on this day, at this moment.

The hours before the wedding should not cause you additional stress, but instead they should calm you down and relax you.

Your surroundings are the key, and the people who will be around you are also incredibly important: make the bride's preparations in your villa or hotel room and rent an extra room for the groom's preparations, or go to his father's or best man's room for them. Don't let too many people be with you during this time, it will only bring chaos and even more stress.

Choose the people you want to have with you for the precious hours of preparation carefully.

It is important to wear something pretty during the preparation! It is a unique and wonderful time (and the photographer / videographer captures these moments), you should do something good for yourself and feel comfortable and pretty. A nice bathrobe, some silk and lace for the bride.

And as for the men: less is more! It is best not to wear wild patterns; men in a bathrobe or just a towel always look good.

EXTRA TIP:

The room in which you are preparing is best bright, with plenty of natural light and soft, subdued colours. In this way, the beautiful colour tones of photography are shown to their best advantage.

Hotel rooms with green, red, blue or yellow carpets, wallpaper and curtains are not ideal - these colours may be reflected on your faces, the wedding dress and everything else. This is not flattering to anyone and it is almost impossible to make it look good when you edit your pictures.

Rooms with plenty of natural light and neutral colours soothe the nerves and help to create beautiful photos. White, beige, grey, cream - the whole range of pastel shades - is just perfect.

And now I hope that these tips for your Getting Ready will help you and you can enjoy this time of preparation to the full.
